In Salesforce a dashboard is a place you can structure multiple reports into easy to view graphs, charts and lists. It can be created and personalised for an individual or published for departments, or across the entire organisation.

It is a way to quickly get information that has been generated from multiple reports in a visually friendly way for the user/s.

General uses might include

• Sales reports across the organisation
• Course reports around fill rates, course numbers, attendee numbers
• Statistic tracking from within the system.

Dashboards require Reports to already exist in order to create the interface.
