Using Chatter with objects
This guide will explain how to use Chatter directly from an object.
Initial search
This guide assumes you are in the associated Object. If this is not the correct please Search for the Object (URL Link) first.
Locating the Chatter feed
The feed can differ based on the object in question, please see below for a non-exhaustive list of the kind of areas to look.
Accounts / Contacts
On the right-hand side you will notice Chatter window.
Leads / Opportunities
Cases
Post a Chatter
(URL link to posting a chat)
Following an object
Identify the object
Search for the Object (URL Link) first.
Select the “Follow” button
You will now get a notification for all Chatter messages related to this Object.
Note: Follow this process to unfollow an object
