How to Find and Access Records

Accessing a Record

There are multiple ways to find a record in the Restocker App.
We'll use the example of finding an 'Account' record to demonstrate.

Searching

The first way to find a record is probably the simplest: search for it!

Using searching for an Account as an example, you can use the search bar at the top of any page, type in details like an account name, an account number or even something like an ABN.
The search bar will provide a couple of results relating to the term you entered, you'll know the result is an Account record because it will have an icon that looks like a tall building and say 'Account' under the record name.

You can also narrow down the type of result by using the arrow to the left of the search bar.

If you can't find the Account in the list of results, there is a 'Show more results for...' link at the bottom of the suggestions.

Record Tabs

The second way of looking for a record is by going to the record's tab in the app.
So with the example of an Account, we'd go to the 'Accounts' tab.

Clicking on the Accounts tab will take you to a list view showing your most recently accessed Accounts.

If the Account you're looking for isn't present in the list you can use the drop down arrow to select a different list such as 'All Accounts' or another list view customised for your State or Territory.

The last way to find a record is by clicking the record's name on one of its related records. For example, if you are looking at a Contact record, you can select the name of the Account from the Contact details which will take you to the Account's record page.
