Removing a product from a price book

On occasion you may need to remove products from a price book.
Products in a State default price book are controlled by MYOBA and should not be manually adjusted.
For other price books, they may be manually adjusted by controlling the 'Active' checkbox on the price book entry.

Note: If this product is available on the Website, it MUST be unpublished there first.

There are two methods of deactivating price book entries: manually or via the guided tool.

Method 1. - Guided tool.

Go to the product page

Navigate to the product's page and select the 'Manage Price book Entries' action.
(If you do not see this action, you may not have permission to manage price book entries via this tool).

Select price books to remove product from

WARNING: DO NOT MANUALLY REMOVE A PRODUCT FROM YOUR STATE DEFAULT PRICEBOOK. THIS PRICEBOOK IS MANAGED VIA MYOBA.

Select the entries that you wish to deactivate and then press 'Next'

Confirm deactivation

Check to confirm the entries that will be deactivated and select 'Next'. The tool will handle the deactivation for you.

Method 2. - Manual deactivation.

Go to price books

There are 2 methods to access price books:

a: Click on the search icon

Type price books in the search-bar

Select price books from the drop-down menu

Search price books

It is advisable to filter the search for price books to SA Price books

Note: you well be unable to see Interstate price books.

Select price book

Select the required price book. For this example, the St John 2020 Training Pricing SA price book has been selected.

Click on the related tab.

Select product

Go to price book entries

Find the product the needs to be removed

Click on the arrow

Select edit from the drop-down menu

Uncheck the 'Active' box

Uncheck the 'Active' box and select 'Save'
