Promo code is a tool within salesforce that allows us to apply discounts to clients on the fly or in promotions.

They will apply the discount to the default pricing only, they do not apply a stacking discount on top of other non-standard pricing. Additionally promo codes cannot be stacked, each transaction can only utilise a singular promotional code.

Promo codes have been designed to be highly configurable by staff, we can apply them to a product directly to offer an automatically applied discount, we can apply them to a course to fill the last few seats, we can expose or hide them from the web.
