Types of Accounts
Types of Accounts
In Salesforce the Account object represents an organisation or specialised location that is not an address (URL link to Addresses). Each organisation will generally need their own account details and record in Salesforce.
B2B - (Business to Business) (URL Link – Create a B2B Account)
This account type is used when St John is dealing with a representative from an organisation or company whose primary purpose is to trade goods or services to others and hold an ABN number.
Any organisations with a line of credit will be of this type, however a B2B account will not automatically have a line of credit with St John.
Membership Organisation (URL Link to Create a Membership Account)
This is an internal account type to help manage specialised memberships that require some kind of reporting or invoicing. One such example is CITB, where the cost is split between the client and the CITB organisation..
St John Training Venue (URL Link to Create a Training Venue Account)
This is an internal account type that is to be created for each St John venue. Public training is tied to this account. One training account should exist for each St John Training Venue.
St John Public Bucket Account
This is a general account for all contact records (clients) (URL link to Types of Contacts) that do not belong to a specific B2B organisation. Despite the name this includes people who purchase products over the counter.
For SA: Student Bucket Account – SA
Note: over time there is a possibility that there will be a new bucket account for each year for system management reasons.
