Types of Contacts

Types of Contacts

In salesforce the Contact object represents any individual that trains or trades with St John. Every individual will need their own Contact record. Further to this, every contact is required to be associated with an account of some description. This will be either a B2B or SA Bucket Account. (Types of accounts URL link)

Any member of the general public who requires training, regardless of the organisation they are linked to.

For the initial launch, all volunteers will be Students for Salesforce purposes.

Any member of the general public who is not a Student. Some examples might include over the counter sales, booking manager of an organisation, or an HR manager of an organisation.

Note: A contact does not need to be part of an organisation, merely NOT a Student.

Any St John staff member who is not involved in delivering training.

Any St John Trainer (typically a Commercial Trainer) who uses Salesforce to deliver and manage training directly.

Note: A contact of the Trainer type cannot be created without an associated user account already existing in Salesforce.
