Creating a lead

This user-guide will explain how to create a Lead in Sales Force.

This guide assumes you have ascertained there is no existing Lead object, if this is not the case please search for the Lead (URL link)

Select “New”

 

Data capture

  • Title: Enter a name as per the naming convention (URL link)
  • Requirements: What does this Lead relate to? – add as much information as possible
  • Industry: What industry is the organisation from
  • Lead Source: Where did the lead come from?
  • Other Fields: Fill in all other fields to the extent possible
  • Note: Red * is a required field

Create Record

 

Review the data entered and then press “Save”
