Adding Notes to a Case

This guide outlines how to add notes to a case. Notes should be added whenever you action or update a case unless you are sending an email. This allows both yourself and others to see the history of actions on the case and refresh more easily.

Note: Notes are internal notes on a case. The client will not see the notes or actions.

Initial  search

This guide assumes you have opened the Case you wish to add a note to. If this is not the correct please Search for the Case first: Completing a Search

Make sure you are in the feed tab

Select the Post tab

Click into "Share an update"

Add notes and details into the case

Note: This is a chatter window meaning all the usual chatter linking an alerting will work. for more details on chatter please click here: Using Chatter

Share the notes.

Note: Sharing will save the notes to the case and add to the case feed
