Doc Gen Issue - Downloading a Course Roll for the first time

From time-to-time, a trainer (or other similar staff member) may find they're unable to generate a course roll in Salesforce due to a known error with the provider DocGen (Nintex).  

This document details how the trainer or other staff member can generate the course roll using a workaround solution. 

1. Log into Salesforce, click on the Attendees tab (or navigate to an attendee from a recent course) and select any attendee number (preferably someone who is eligible to receive a course confirmation email - e.g. they have paid to attend the course):-

2. Once you've opened the Attendee record, click on the Send Confirmation button:

 3. If this is the first time you're using DocGen (generating a document within Salesforce), you should receive a prompt to allow you to use it for the first time. Click Allow to proceed:

  • If the student has previously received a course confirmation email, select the Download option, ensuring that you DO NOT send it to the student
  • If the student has requested a copy of their course confirmation, select the Email option

4. You should then be able to proceed with producing a course roll from a course.
