Create new Scope of Practice Product
This guide is for creating a new scope of practice product. This is not for assigning a scope of practice to an individual. Please see “Creating a Scope of Practice” to do this.
This should be done annually for all clinical scopes were a member may be treating people.
Select the 9 dots and search for “Scope of Practice Products”
Select “New”
Fill in all the details for the new Scope of Practice Product
Scope of Practice Product Name: This will appear on the OB2 as their current Scope of practice if assigned – Name should include year it is relevant
Implementation Date: The date that this Scope of practice may be used from
DEMS ID Mapping: What Clinical Rank will this Scope relate to? (See table below for what options there are)

Expiry Date: The date this Scope of Practice will expire These should expire annually (Scope will expire 1am the following morning)
HCP: Check this box if this SOP is a HCP Scope
Active: Set this to true
Version: Should increment from the previous year
Retirement date: Should be left blank
Replacement Scope of Practice: Should be left blank
Save the record

- Add required Proficiencies
- Add required Compliances
- Update Existing Scope of Practice Product to set the replacement.
