Contacts (Volunteers, Staff or Trainers)

St John uses the Contact record in Salesforce to effectively manage volunteering activities across all members, including Staff, Trainers, and Volunteers. While Staff and Trainers may also engage in volunteering activities, Volunteers do not participate in staff-related tasks. The Contact record serves as the central hub, connecting other relevant information about each member.

On the Contact record's detail page, crucial information such as the member's primary team, role, rank, and scope of practice is displayed. Members typically belong to a "bucket account" like the Staff Account, Volunteer Bucket, or Trainer Bucket. The "Current Division" field indicates the member's primary team at any given time.

For a historical overview of a member's activities, you can navigate to the related tab to access information such as past member statuses or rostered activities.

To manage updates and changes to a member's information, St John utilizes guided screens. These screens help maintain accurate and consistent data when updating member details or modifying their record type.
