A Member's Volunteer or Staff Activities

To identify the activities a St John member engages in, start by looking at their latest Member Status or their Contact record.

Here are some common fields you might use to track activities and what they mean:
Volunteer Activities - This field encompasses a variety of non-paid activities, such as Clinical Operational duties or participation in the Community Care Program.
Staff Activities - This field encompasses paid activities such as working in the St John HQ or being a paid EHS Casual.
Is Volunteer - This field is checked if the member is a volunteer record type, or a Staff member with volunteering activities
Is Staff - This field is checked if the member is a member of staff in some capacity
New Signup - This field is checked if the member has joined within a threshold determined by your organisation. This can be set by your admins but defaults to 90 days. As an example, in a state with 90 as the threshold, a member with "New Signup" ticked has joined in the last 90 days.
Youth Member - This field is a quick visual indicator that the member is under the age of 18, making them a youth member of St John.

To gain insights into a member's past activities, navigate to the Related tab on their Contact record, where you can review their previous Member Statuses. This allows you to track and understand the member's involvement with St John over time, both in terms of volunteer and staff activities.
