Close Losing an Opportunity

Closing a lost product opportunity

This guide will outline how to close a losing opportunity.

  • Client declines the quote
  • Customer Service team determines the quote is unlikely to proceed due to lack of contact with the vendor

Search for the Opportunity

This guide assumes you have already accessed the opportunity, if you have not done so please complete a search first.

Select the closed tab

 

Click on select closed stage

Set stage to Closed lost



Click on the arrow to show the drop-down menu options.

Select closed lost

Save status

 

a: Stage is now closed lost

b: Click on save

Add Reason for declining

a: Reason for declining quote: click on the edit icon. Record the reason why the quote was unsuccessful. Eg: No response from client after numerous follow-up calls and emails.

b: Reason for losing: click on the edit icon. Select the reason from drop-down menu.

Save

 

Click on save
