Creating a Course (Public)
Complete this procedure to create a new publicly available course.
1. Create the course
Click on the 9 dot icon on the top left corner of the screen, start entering 'course' in the search field and click on Courses.
The Courses screen displays the recently viewed courses.
Click New. The New Course pop up is displayed.
Select 'Training Course' and click Next.
The New Course: Training Course pop up is displayed.
2. Enter the course details
Complete the following fields:
- Course Name: Enter the Course Name according to the naming convention, e.g. course name abbreviation - location: 'PFA - Elizabeth'.
- Parent Course: Leave blank.
- Course Start Date: Enter the course start date and start time.
- Course End Date: Enter the course end date and end time
- Product: Select the correct training product. Important: Ensure you do not select an 'IND' version of the product.
- Regional Hub: Start typing the name of the regional hub (e.g. 'metro' or 'regional') and select the hub from the options presented.
- St John Location: Search for and select the St John venue.
- Status: Leave as 'Pending' until you have created a session for the course.
Click Save. The Course screen for the newly created course is displayed.
3. Create session(s) for the course
Add a new session for each day the course is run.

4. Update status to 'Open'
In the Course screen, update the Status to 'Open' and click Save.
The course will be available on the website after the next sync from Salesforce to the website is run.
