Creating an Interim Certificate Product
Overview
Because the data model already exists for defining a 'product' and the 'competencies' contained within it, we re-use the Product and Product Competency objects when creating our templates for Interim Certificates.
The product created for an Interim Certificate must not have a value in any pricebook. It will also never be a course or have attendees related to it.
Interim Certificate products are for templating the certificates only. If students need to be able to enrol in a Skill-Set or subset of competencies in order to be delivered those units in a stand-alone course, a new training product needs to be created for this purpose, the Interim Certificate product cannot be used.

The following fields have values that must be set in a specific way for the Interim Certificate.

Remaining Fields
The following fields must have a value in them. The value will depend on the product

The identifier of this product. If this product is for a skillset, this must match the AVETMISS Skill-Set identifier. |

The name of the Interim Certificate. Can include additional identifiers such as the term 'Interim Certificate' (e.g. Assessor Skillset - Interim Certificate) |

The productCode for the Interim Certificate. Can include additional identifiers such as 'IC' (e.g. TAEASS011-IC) |
| AVETMISS__c |
The official name of the certificate product or skill-set. This name may appear on certificates and should match any official requirements. (e.g. Assessor Skillset) |

The current year |

The Drawloop Package ID for this product |
The remaining fields can have a value if required or if required by the product type

Creating the Product Competencies
The final step is to select the units of competency that will be contained within the Interim Certificate.
Navigate to the 'related' tab of the product record and find the 'Product Competencies' list. From this list select the 'New' button.
In the pop-up modal that appears, search for and select the 'Competency' you wish to add, then hit 'Save'
Repeat this process for all units of competency required by this Interim Certificate product.
