Issuing an SOA for a Partial Qualification

Process Overview

This document outlines the process for marking a student who has obtained partial competency after they've attended a training course.

This process applies to the following scenarios:-

1. When participants require a first aid certificate, which forms part of the qualification; a separate SOA can be generated without needing to create a new / separate course

2. When participants choose not to continue the course, they will receive an SOA listing the successfully completed units of competency.

This document also outlines the process to follow when participants request a copy of their record of results.

Part 1 - Marking A Student's Competencies (Manage Attendees Page)

Step 1 - Navigate to the Manage Attendees page against the course and mark "Enrolled" for the overall Competency Status or mark “Withdrawn" if the participant no longer wishes to continue the course

Step 2 - Mark the student ”Competent” for units where competency has been achieved and SOA needs to be issued

Step 3 - Mark “Not Competent” for all remaining units

Step 4 - Click the Update Competencies button to save what you have done

Part 2 - Sending SOA to the Student

Navigate to the student’s attendee record and release the certificate; the usual process to follow is using the Send Certificate button on the Attendee record. The certificate will be sent to the student showing the results for the marked competencies.

Important Note:

The SOA issued will NOT be saved under the Chatter section on the Attendee record. However, you'll be able to locate the certificate file from the Notes & Attachments section:

Resending SOA to the student (from the Attendee Record)

From time-to-time, students request a copy of their certificate that has already been issued previously. You can do this by following these steps from the Attendee record:

Step 1 - Untick Release Certificate checkbox and click Save

Step 2 - Tick Release Certificate checkbox and click Save
