Creating a new Session (Standard)
This guide outlines how to create a new trainer session for a 1 day or a multi-day course.
1. Search for the course
If you are already in the course, skip this step and go to step 2.
Click on the 9 dot icon on the top left corner of the screen, start entering 'course' in the search field and click on Courses.
In the Courses screen, use the filter and search functions to locate the course.
Click on the link in the Course Name column to open the Course screen.
2. Create a new session
For a single day course, the course date and times and the session date and times will be the same.
For multi-day courses, you will need to create multiple sessions and enter the date and time for each day of the course.
In the Course screen, click New Session.
The New Session pop up is displayed.
3. Add session details
Complete the following fields:
- Session Name: This will default to 'Session 1', 'Session 2' etc. Update if required.
- Breaks: This will default to '30'. Update if required.
- Start Date/Time: For single day courses, leave as default. For multi-day courses, select the correct Start Date/Time for each day of the course.
- End Date/Time: For single day courses, leave as default. For multi-day courses, select the correct End Date/Time for each day of the course.
You should use the calendar to select the dates. If you type in the date, you must use the following format: d/mm/yyyy, e.g. 1/01/2023.
A session cannot be allocated to a course outside of the course start and end dates and times.
You do not not need to update any other fields in this pop up.
Click Save. You are returned to the Course screen.
4. Add more sessions
If required, repeat steps 2 and 3 to add more sessions.
