Edit Slideshow Block
A Slideshow block features one image or images and may include a title and caption under the title. Multiple images will create a scrolling gallery. Basic pages and Articles automatically include a Slideshow block.

If you do not wish to keep the Slideshow block, click the Remove button at the top of the section. Then click Confirm removal.

a) Basic page: In the HEADER section, click the - icon next to Slideshow Block to expand it.
Article page: Skip this step as there is no header section. Go to b).
b) Click the - icon next to Slide to expand this section.
3. Edit title
Tick Use page title if you want the page title to be displayed on the Slideshow block.
If you wish to enter a different title, do not tick this checkbox. You can enter a title for the Slideshow later in the Content tab (step 5).
4. Upload an image
In the Image tab, click Choose File and locate and select a background image. The image will be saved in the Files library.
Alternatively, if the image is saved to the File library, click on Open File Browser, locate the required image and click Select.
Guidelines for slideshow images
- Images can be png, gif, jpg, jpeg format up to 100 MB.
- Ideally, images for slides should be in landscape format 16:9 at 72dpi and not exceeding 1920x1080px.
In Alternative Text, enter a short description of the image. This is used by screen readers and when the image fails to load. This is required for search engine optimisation (SEO) purposes.
You will not be able to save the page if you have not uploaded at least one image for a slideshow.
5. Link the image
Click the Content tab if you wish to add a link to the image, or a title or caption for the image.
Complete the fields in the table below.
| Field | Action |
| Link Url | Use this field if you want to direct the user to another page on clicking image in the header.
|
| Title | Enter a title for the slideshow if required. This will be displayed in the header unless the Use page title checkbox is ticked. |
| Caption | Enter a caption for the slideshow if required. This will be displayed under the title in the header. |
| Text Format | This defaults to Basic HTML. Leave as default. Note: Only change from Basic HTML if it does not offer the formatting options required. Full HTML may compromise the security of the page so should be used with caution. Refer to your IT department for more information. Click on the About text formats link for more information. |
To add more images to the Slideshow, click Add Slide and repeat the steps above. If there is more than one image it will create a scrolling slideshow.
6. Reorder slides
The slides will appear in the order in which they were created with ‘0’ being the first.
If you wish to change this order, select a different number in the ORDER drop-down. The lower the number, the higher it will appear on the page and vice versa.
7. Save your work
Click the Save button. Remember to deselect 'Published' if you are not ready to publish the page.
