Edit Course

1. Access the Edit page of the course

Search for the product. See Search for Product/Kit/Course.

Click the Edit button next to the course you wish to edit.

Click the Edit button next to the course you wish to edit.

The Edit page is displayed.

A header block is not required.

Do not edit the Title field. This information is entered in Salesforce.

2. Edit sort order weight

Edit the sort order weight, if required. This determines where the course is displayed in the Training Courses page.

The lower the value, the nearer to the top of the page the course will appear; the higher the value, the nearer to the bottom of the page. For example, a course with a weight of ‘-5’ will appear above a course with a weight of ‘0’.

3. Edit the course description

The Body field is used to enter the course description.

The course description is displayed in the course tile on the Training Courses page, and also on the About this course page.

Edit the course description in the Body field.

For nationally recognised courses, you must always embed the 'Nationally Recognised Training' image. To do this:

  • Click on the Image icon on the toolbar.
  • The Insert Image popup is displayed.
  • Click Choose File, search for and select the 'Nationally Recognised Training' image.
  • In the Alternative text field, enter a short description to be displayed if the image fails to load.
  • Click Save.

For all courses, include a link to the PFA Terms & Conditions. See Add Link.

4. Edit RTO Certification

In the Certification field, enter the RTO course certification details e.g. ‘HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation’.

This is displayed on the About this course page.

5. Upload the course brochure

To upload a course brochure, click Choose File, then search for and select the PDF.

To change the PDF, click Remove to remove the existing PDF and click Choose File to upload the new PDF.

The course brochure will be available for download on the About this course page.

6. Edit Onsite/Public

If the course is available for onsite delivery, tick the Onsite checkbox.

If the course is a generally available course, tick Public checkbox.

This enables sorting of the courses on the Training Courses page.

7. Duration days and hours

This information is entered in Salesforce. Do not edit.

8. Edit Background Image

The background image is displayed as a thumbnail on the course tile and also as the main feature image on the About this course page.

 

  • If required, click the Remove button to remove the existing image.
  • Upload a background image using one of the following methods:
    • To upload an image saved in the website’s File library, click on Open File Browser, locate the required image and click Select.
    • To upload an image saved on a network drive, click Choose file to search for and select the image.
  • In the Alternative text field, enter a short description to be displayed if the image fails to load.

The image cannot exceed 100 MB and must be one of the following file types: png, gif, jpg, jpeg.

9. Course code

This information is entered in Salesforce. Do not edit.

9.1. Occupations

Tick the occupations this course is relevant for.

This will make the course appear in the relevant sections of the Course Wizard.

10. Edit Course Code and Discr

The course codes and descriptions are displayed at the bottom of the course tile on the Training Courses page.

To edit course codes and descriptions, click the Expand all button in the COURSE CODE AND DISCR section to display the fields.

Edit the following fields as required.

Field  Action
Body Enter the course description, e.g. Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
COURSE LINK – URL Add a link to the course link text (e.g. HLTAID009), if required.

Note:
  • All courses on the St John SA website currently contain <front> in this field. When the user clicks on the link, it jumps to the top of the St John SA homepage.
  • If you do not wish this to occur, either leave this field blank or enter <nolink>. The course code will be the same colour as the surrounding text. 
  • It is not advisable to add a link which directs the user to a separate page.
COURSE LINK – Link text The link text is entered in Salesforce. Do not edit.

11. Inline Images

Do not edit INLINE IMAGES.

12. External product id and Pricebook entry id

This information is entered in Salesforce. Do not edit.

13. Edit Qualifications

Qualifications are displayed on the About this course page. St John SA has the following qualifications.

If there are no qualifications already added, click the Add Qualification Details button to display the Qualification fields.

Complete the Qualification fields.

Field Action
Image Upload an image for the qualification. See Edit Background Image for instructions on how to upload an image.
Alternative text Enter a short description to be displayed if the image fails to load.

SA only:
  • For nationally recognised training, enter ‘Nationally Recognised Training’. 
  • For CITB, enter ‘CITB’.
Qualification description Enter a description of the qualification.

SA only:
  • For nationally recognised training, enter ‘St John Ambulance SA delivers nationally recognised training and assessment on behalf of St John Ambulance Australia (RTO 88041)’. 
  • For CITB, enter ‘CITB member pricing available.’
Qualification Code Leave blank.

Repeat the steps above to add another qualification, if required.

14. AVETMISS form Id

Do not edit the AVETMISS form Id field. This information is drawn from Salesforce.

15. URL path settings

Do not edit the URL PATH SETTINGS (right-hand side of the page).

16. Variations tab

Do not edit the Variations tab. This information is drawn from Salesforce and includes price, session times and locations and remaining seats.

17. Save

Do you wish the product to be published immediately?

  • If yes, leave the Published checkbox ticked.
  • If no, untick the Published checkbox.

Click the Save button.
