Edit Kit
For the purposes of the website, a ‘Kit’ is a product that has been configured to allow self-service restocking on the website. Products that are configured as Kits will include a Restock List on the website. This enables users to select individual items in the kit rather than ordering the whole kit.
The term ‘Kit’ in this context does not apply to kits which do not allow self-service restocking.
Below is an example of a 'Kit'.
Click on the Restock List button to view the contents of the kit.
1. Access the Edit Page for the dit
Search for the kit. See Search for Product/Kit/Course.
Click the Edit button next to the kit you wish to edit.
The Edit page for the kit is displayed.
2. Title and Product Information
The data in the Title field and the PRODUCT INFORMATION section are drawn from SalesForce. Do not edit.
3. Edit Sort Order Weight
In the Sort Order Weight field, enter the sort order weight. This determines where the product is displayed in the Online Shop.
The lower the value, the nearer to the top of the Online Shop the product will appear; the higher the value, the nearer to the bottom of the page the product will appear. For example, a product with a weight of ‘-5’ will appear above a product with a weight of ‘0’.
4. Edit Bestseller and On Sale Flags
Tick the Bestseller checkbox if you want to flag the product as a best seller in the Online Shop.
Tick the On Sale checkbox if you want to flag the product as an on-sale item in the Online Shop.
5. Edit Images
Upload images in the IMAGES section. These are displayed in the Online Shop and also the product details page. If more than one image is uploaded, only the first one is displayed in the Online Shop.
If you want to replace an existing image:
- Click the Remove button.
- Upload a new image using one of the following methods:
- To upload an image saved in the website’s File library, click Open File Browser to search for and select the image. When you have located the required image, click Select.
- To upload an image saved on a network drive, click Choose file to search for and select the file.
Allowable file types are PNG. GIF, JPG, JPEG. Maximum size is 100 MB.
You can add multiple images to a single product. These will be displayed on the product details page.
In the Alternative text field, enter a short description to be displayed if the image fails to load.
You will not be able to publish a kit if you have not uploaded an image.
6. Edit Store Category and Product Category
Follow the steps in the table below to edit the store or product category.

7. Edit Description, Details and Compliance fields
Complete the fields in the table below to edit the description, details and compliance fields.

8. Edit Kit Items
This section contains all the items that form part of the kit. They are displayed on the product details page when you click the Restock List button.
Complete the kit item fields as specified in the table below.

9. URL path settings
Do not edit the URL PATH SETTINGS (located on the right-hand side of the screen).
10. Save
Do you want to publish the kit immediately?
- If yes, leave the Published checkbox ticked.
- If no, untick the Published checkbox.
Click the Save button.
