Processing a Price Change in the Website
This guide outlines how to process a price change of a stock item in the website.
This procedure should only be used in exceptional circumstances when it is necessary to update the price of a stock item on the website prior to the overnight sync of product information from Salesforce to the website.
This procedure is not applicable to SA.
Please be aware any changes you make to prices directly on the website will be overwritten by the next Salesforce to website sync. So, it is important to update the price change in Salesforce as well as updating it in the website.
1. Access the product in Salesforce
Enter the product code in the search field at the top of the screen and press [Enter], then select the product in the list displayed.
The selected product is displayed.
2. Update price in default price book
Click on the Related tab.
Select Edit from the dropdown on your state's default pricebook.
The Edit Price Book Entry pop up is displayed.
In the List Price field, enter the new price (ex GST) and click Save.
Note: If GST is applicable, the system will automatically add it to the price.
3. Access the product in the website
Search for the product. See Search for Product/Kit/Course.
Click the Edit button on the row of the product you are updating.
