Add Button Block

This block is used to add a button anywhere on a page. The button is independent of other blocks and may be as wide as the page. An example of this type of block can be found on the Event Health Services page (https://www.stjohnsa.com.au/event-health-services).

Steps

In the CONTENT section, click on the down arrow next to Add Slideshow Block and select Add Button.

The Button section is displayed.

Complete the fields in the table below.

Field  Action
Icon If you would like to display an icon on the button, select one from the dropdown list.
URL Enter the URL of the page or website you would like the button to link to, using one of the following methods:
  • Start typing the title of the page you wish to link to, e.g. ‘Community…’ A list of pages will be displayed in the drop down. Select the required page.
OR
  • For Internal URLs, enter the internal path e.g. ‘/event-health-services/what-we-do’, or copy and paste the URL of the page you wish to link to.
OR
  • For external URLs, enter the web address.
OR
  • For the St John homepage, enter <front>.
OR
  • To display the link text only, enter <nolink>.
Link text Enter the text you want displayed on the button.
Text Format This defaults to Basic HTML. Leave as default.

If you want to add more buttons, click Add Button and repeat the steps above.

If you add more than one button, they will be displayed side by side.
