Add Community Block

Use this block to add community item tiles to the page. Community item tiles describe how St John supports the community.

An example of this type of block can be found on the St John home page (https://www.stjohnsa.com.au/).

1. Create the block

In the CONTENT section, click on the down arrow next to Add Slideshow Block and select Add Community.

The Content tab is displayed.

Complete the fields in the table below.

Field Action
Title Enter a title.
Body Enter the content for this section.

Click on the Community Items tab.

Complete the fields in the table below.

Field Action
Icon Select an icon from the drop-down.
Title Enter a title for the community item.
Alternative text Enter a short description to be displayed if the image fails to load.
Body Enter the text to be displayed in the community item tile.
Text format This defaults to Basic HTML. Leave as default.

2. Add Buttons

Add buttons, if required.

In the Button Heading field, enter a heading for your buttons. This will be displayed above the buttons.

Click the + icon to expand the BUTTONS section.

Complete the fields in the table below.

Field Action
Icon Do not select an icon as it will not appear on the button.
URL Enter the URL of the page or website you would like the button to link to, using one of the following methods: 
  • Start typing the title of the page you wish to link to, e.g. ‘Community…’ A list of pages will be displayed in the drop down. Select the required page.
OR 
  • For Internal URLs, enter the internal path e.g. ‘/event-health-services/what-we-do’, or copy and paste the URL of the page you wish to link to.
OR
  • For external URLs, enter the web address.
OR
  • For the St John homepage, enter <front>.
OR
  • To display the link text only, enter <nolink>.
Link text Enter the text you want displayed on the button.
For example: ‘Find out more’ or ‘Make an enquiry’.
Text Format This defaults to Basic HTML. Leave as default.

Repeat the steps above to add the second button.

Note: If you do not require a button for the Community Item, you must remove it, otherwise it will appear as a red square within the tile. To remove a button, click Remove, then click Confirm removal.
